Eligibility Criteria

Essential qualification as on 16.10.25, i.e. on the closing date of online application form-

  • Candidate must have possess bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

For Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (Male Candidate Only)-

  • Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT) to be eligible for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police. The male candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) are eligible for the post of Sub-Inspector in CAPFs only.

Selection Process

1st Stage (Paper-I) Exam Date will be updated here.

1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) for Paper-I will consist of one objective-type multiple-choice paper containing 200 questions. For correct answer 1 marks will be provided & for wrong answer 0.25 mark will be deducted.

Time allowed for examination is 120 mins.

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning : 50 Marks
  • General Knowledge & General Awareness: 50 Marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Marks
  • English Comprehension: 50 Marks
On the basis of Candidate performance & normalization of marks in Tier-I exam, qualified candidates would be shortlisted for appearing in PST/PET, subject to the condition that the candidate should have scored minimum cut-off in Tier-1, which is provided below-

  • General: 30%
  • OBC/EWS: 25%
  • All other categories: 20%
  • All Ex-servicemen would be treated in their own category viz., UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS.

2nd Stage (PST/PET) Exam Date will be updated here.

  • On the basis of their performance in 1st stage, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in PST/PET Examination.
  • PST/PET are mandatory but qualifying in nature. Ex-Servicemen are not required to undergo PET. 
  • Only those candidates who qualify in PST/PET will be allowed to appear in Paper-II Examination.

3rd Stage (Paper-II) Exam Date will be updated here.

3rd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) for Paper-II will consist of one objective-type multiple-choice paper containing 200 questions. For correct answer 1 marks will be provided & for wrong answer 0.25 mark will be deducted.

Time allowed for examination is 120 mins.

  • English Language & Comprehension: 200 Marks

DV & Medical :-

  • On the basis of their performance in Paper-I and Paper-II (including bonus marks in case of NCC certificate), candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in Medical Examination.
  • Medical Examination i.e. DME/RME stage is mandatory but qualifying in nature. Candidates qualified in DME/RME stage and Document Verification stage will be considered for final selection.

Final Selection :-

  • Final selection and allocation of Post/Force will be made on the basis of the performance of candidates in Paper-I and Paper-II (including bonus marks in case of NCC certificate) and the preference of Posts/Forces exercised by them.
