SSC CGL 2025 Tier I Answer Key Out

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the Answer Key of Tier-1 exam on its official website for the SSC Combined Graduate Level Tier-I Examination 2025. This exam is for recruitment on 14582 posts.  The exam is conducted on 12th to 26th September 2025. Candidates can check their Answer Key Details using their Enrollment Number, Registration Number, or Date of Birth by logging into the portal. Details are provided below.

Age relaxation will be given as per SSC regulations.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential qualification as on 04.07.2025, i.e. on the closing date of online application form-

  • Candidate must have possess bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

For Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (Male Candidate Only)-

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level, or they should have a bachelor’s degree with Statistics as one of the subjects.

Selection Process

1st Stage Tier-I Exam Date was 12 September to 14 October 2025.

1st Stage, Tier-I Computer Based Test is qualifying in nature will consist of one objective-type multiple-choice paper containing 100 questions (200 Marks). For correct answer 2 marks will be provided & for wrong answer 0.50 mark will be deducted.

Time allowed for examination is 60 min.

  • General Awareness: 50 Marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Marks
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 Marks
  • English Comprehension: 50 Marks
On the basis of Candidate performance & normalization of marks in Tier-I exam, qualified candidates would be shortlisted for Tier-II, subject to the condition that the candidate should have scored minimum cut-off in Tier-1, which is provided below-

  • UR: 30%
  • EWS/OBC: 25%
  • All other categories: 20%

2nd Stage Tier-II Exam Date will be updated here.

2nd Stage, Tier-II Computer Based Test will consist of two papers.

Paper-I will consist of two sessions. Session-I will consist of three sections & Session-II will consist of one sections.

Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-II in the office of Registrar General of India (M/o Home Affairs).

Session-I of Paper-I will consist of three sections where questions are in objective-type multiple-choice containing 150 questions (450 Marks). For correct answer, 3 marks will be provided & for wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.

Total time allowed for examination is 135 minute which is divided section-wise.

Section-I: – Time allowed is 60 min.
  • Mathematical Abilities: 90 Marks
  • Reasoning & General Intelligence: 90 Marks
Section-II: – Time allowed is 60 min.
  • English Language and Comprehension: 135 Marks
  • General Awareness: 75 Marks
Section-III: – Time allowed is 15 min.
  • Computer Knowledge Test: 60 Marks

Session-II of Paper-I will consist of Data Entry Speed Test (DEST), will be conducted for a passage of about 2000 (two thousand) key depressions for a duration of 15 (fifteen) minutes.

Section-IV: – Time allowed is 15 min.
  • One Data Entry Task: 90 Marks

Paper-II is a Computer Based Test will consist of one objective-type multiple-choice paper containing 100 questions (200 Marks). For correct answer 2 marks will be provided & for wrong answer 0.50 mark will be deducted.

Time allowed for examination is 120 min.

  • Statistics: 200 Marks
On the basis of Candidate performance & normalization of marks in Tier-II exam, qualified candidates would be shortlisted in merit list, subject to the condition that the candidate should have scored minimum cut-off in section-I, section-II & section-III of Tier-II exam, which is provided below-

  • UR: 30%
  • EWS/OBC: 25%
  • All other categories: 20% 

and also qualified in section-IV of Tier-II exam, where maximum percentage of errors allowed (i.e. minimum qualifying standards) in DEST are as follows-

  • UR: 20%
  • EWS/OBC: 25%
  • All other categories: 30% 

Section-III and Section IV of Paper-I of Tier-II i.e. Computer Knowledge Test and DEST respectively are qualifying in nature. Candidates who are not qualified in Section-I & Section-II of Tier-II will not be eligible for evaluation of Section-III & Section-IV and they will not be considered for further selection process.

Merit List: – Merit list will be prepared on following criteria.

  • Merit List will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks scored in Section-I & Section-II of Paper-I of Tier-II examination only subject to qualifying Section-III & Section-IV of Paper-I of Tier-II.
  • Merit List for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Statistical Investigator Grade-II will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks scored in Section-I & Section-II of Paper-I and Paper-II of Tier-II examination.
