Eligibility Criteria

Essential qualification as on 28.09.25, i.e. on the closing date of online application form-

  • Matriculation from a recognized Board of Education, and
  • Possession of valid driving license for Motor Cars (LMV) issued by the competent authority; and
  • Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle), and
  • Experience of driving a Motor Car for at least one year after obtaining valid driving license, and
  • Possession of domicile certificate of that State against which candidate has applied.

Selection Process

Tier-I Exam Date is 30 October 2025.

Tier-I Computer-Based Examination will consist of one objective-type multiple-choice paper containing 100 questions. For correct answer 1 marks will be provided & for wrong answer 0.25 mark will be deducted.

Time allowed for examination is 60 mins.

  • General Awareness: 20 Marks
  •  Quantitative Aptitude: 20 Marks
  • English Language: 20 Marks
  • Basic Transport/Driving Rules: 20 Marks
  • Numerical/Analytical/Logical ability and Reasoning: 20 Marks
On the basis of Candidate performance & normalization of marks in Tier-I exam, qualified candidates would be shortlisted for Tier-II, 10 times the number of vacancies, subject to the condition that the candidate should have scored minimum cut-off in Tier-1, which is provided below-

  • General/EWS: 30%
  • OBC: 28%
  • SC/ST: 25%
  • All Ex-servicemen would be treated in their own category viz., UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS.

Tier-II Examination will be of Motor Mechanism & Driving test cum Interview for 50 marks, which is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks in Tier-II is 20 out of 50.

The candidates would be required to drive a motor vehicle as instructed by the instructor. Practical knowledge of the candidates about the vehicle and removal of minor defects / snags in the vehicle, its upkeep & maintenance, etc would also be tested.
Final Selection
  • On the basis of combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-III exam, a final merit list for the post of Security Assistant (Motor Transport) would be prepared in order of merit. A waiting list would also be prepared for providing replacement in future.
  • The final selection to the post would further be subject to successful completion of Character & Antecedent verification followed by Medical Examination, etc.
