Minimum Age: 18 Years

For Jail Warden –

Minimum Age: 18 Years

Maximum Age: –

• Relaxation of 5 Years in upper age limit will be given category-wise for Home Guard Quota in Jail Warden.
• Maximum age limit will be 45 Years for all category of Ex-Servicemen Quota in Jail Warden.

Age relaxation will be given as per CSBC regulations.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential educational qualification as on 01.08.25 –

• Candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2) from any recognized board      or/-
• Candidate must have possess “Maulvi Certificate” from “Bihar State Madrasa Education Board”     or/-
• Candidate must have possess “Shastri (with English) or Acharya (without English)” certificate from “Bihar Sanskrit Shiksha Board”     or/-
• Candidate must have possess any equivalent education certificate from any recognized board.
• For Mobile Squad Constable, candidate must have a driving licence of LMV/HMV which will be issued before on date 26.09.25.

Physical Eligibility –

1. Height:

• For Male candidates of UR & BC Category – 165 cm
• For Male candidates of SC, ST & EBC Category – 160 cm
• For Female candidates of all Category – 155 cm

2. Chest (Only for Male):

*Minimum 5cm expansion of chest is mandatory.

3. Weight (Only for Female):

• For all category Female candidates, 48 kg weight is mandatory.

Selection Process

1st Stage Exam Date will be updated here.

1st Stage Examination will consist of one objective-type multiple-choice paper containing 100 questions. For correct answer 1 marks will be provided.

Time allowed for examination is 120 min.

• Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science (History, Geography, Civis, Economics), Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) of 10th standard, General Knowledge & Current Affairs: 100 Marks

• For Direct recruitment candidates, 1st stage examination is qualifying in nature.
• For Home Guard & Ex-Servicemen Quota, merit will be published on the basis of 1st stage examination, but they have to qualify the Physical Efficiency Test.

For direct recruitment candidates, merit list will be published on the basis Physical Efficiency Test –

1. Running (maximum 50 marks):

For all category Male candidates: 1600 metres

• For 50 marks – Less than 5 minute
• For 40 marks – 5 minutes to 5 minute 20 seconds 
• For 30 marks – More than 5 minute 20 seconds to 5 minute 40 seconds
• For 20 marks – More than 5 minute 40 seconds to 6 minutes
• Male candidates who will take more than 6 minutes will be disqualified.

For all category Female candidates: 1000 metres

• For 50 marks – Less than 4 minute
• For 40 marks – 4 minutes to 4 minute 20 seconds 
• For 30 marks – More than 4 minute 20 seconds to 4 minute 40 seconds
• For 20 marks – More than 4 minute 40 seconds to 5 minutes
• Female candidates who will take more than 5 minutes will be disqualified.

2. Shot Put (maximum 25 marks):

For all category Male candidates: 16-pound shot

• For 25 marks – More than 20 feet
• For 21 marks – More than 19 feet to 20 feet
• For 17 marks – More than 18 feet to 19 feet
• For 13 marks – More than 17 feet to 18 feet
• For 09 marks – 16 feet to 17 feet
• Male candidates who will throw the shot put less than 16 feet will be disqualified.

For all category Female candidates: 12-pound shot

• For 25 marks – More than 16 feet
• For 21 marks – More than 15 feet to 16 feet
• For 17 marks – More than 14 feet to 15 feet
• For 13 marks – More than 13 feet to 14 feet
• For 09 marks – 12 feet to 13 feet
• Female candidates who will throw the shot put less than 12 feet will be disqualified.

3. High Jump (maximum 25 marks):

For all category Male candidates:

• For 25 marks – Minimum 5 feet
• For 21 marks – Minimum 4 feet 8 inches
• For 17 marks – Minimum 4 feet 4 inches
• For 13 marks – Minimum 4 feet
• Male candidates who will not jump minimum 4 feet will be disqualified.

For all category Female candidates:

• For 25 marks – Minimum 4 feet
• For 21 marks – Minimum 3 feet 8 inches
• For 17 marks – Minimum 3 feet 4 inches
• For 13 marks – Minimum 3 feet
• Female candidates who will not jump minimum 3 feet will be disqualified.

Third Gender/Transgender are treated equivalent to Female candidate in Physical Efficiency Test.

Document Verification & Medical Test: –

• For direct recruitment, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their marks in Physical Efficiency Test, for appearing in Document Verification & Medical Test.
• For Home Guard & Ex-Servicemen Quota, Candidates will be shortlisted on their performance & normalization of marks in 1st Stage examination, qualified candidates would be shortlisted for appearing in Document Verification & Medical Test.

Final Selection: –

• Final selection and allocation of Post will be made after successfully qualifying in Document Verification & Medical Test.
